In order to achieve incredible results with a PIATO Plate (like our kickass photos 😊), a smooth, flawless mounting surface, free from holes is needed. In general, if you do NOT have a smooth, flawless, hole-free surface, a PIATO Holder is required.
So you know, PIATO Holders are required for most rear end applications as compared to only being needed in ~50% of front end applications. Tesla is an exception. If you own a Tesla, you’re in luck! Take a moment to read this important page that explains why Tesla is different than other vehicles for a PIATO Plate application.
To best prepare yourself for “Do I need a PIATO Holder?” questionnaire, we recommend you do the following 3 things:
- Remove your license plate and/or mounting bracket(s) for inspection.
- Take notice of any screws & holes in your vehicle related to the mounting of your license plate.
- Take pics of your license plate and the area of your vehicle where the license plate was removed.
